Jul 8, 2020 · Unicity Walmart has bunch of tires in their garden centre. Most of them are 17/16/15, No 19 inch at all and only 1 set of 18 inch goodyear all season. They also have some steel rims on sale too. 50% off. They have 5*114.3 in 14/15/16/17.

Jul 30, 2020 · After using Wintermate tires for past 4-5 years (bought 4 x 17" tires for $200 I think back then during clearance), they have served me well. Still have 6/32nd left on the tread. No quality issues, no bulging, flat spotting at all.

Jul 9, 2019 · Clearance item at one of CT store General Tire Altimax Arctic tire was $431.96 sale 279.72 was $107.99 sale 69.93 I really liked this tire but when asked about age of tire was told 5 years, mfg 2014 or so. Saving is about $152 or so. I would have went for it, if it was 2-3 years old but 5 years is too much for me. Is it worth it?

Feb 11, 2024 · I think there's too much emphasis on trying to get the "freshest" tires for some reason. I think that came from the thought that tires somehow automatically unusable after 6 years. Since these are clearance tires, I probably wouldn't expect them to be "fresh". If it's within 2-3 years old it's totally fine.
