I wonder what is the word used to describe the sound of notification of any incoming messages, such as email messages and messages on mobile messaging apps?The beeping sound? It doesn't sound right. As the definition says, we use it to talk about an agricultural product: in other words, when growing things and selling them, not when eating them. A couple more examples: Yesterday we went shopping for produce. We went to Whole Foods, which has a large produce section. India exports many types of produce.

"Near full employment", however, is much more frequent than "nearly full employment" according to Google (search terms must be quoted of course) and these are valid phrases where near usually (though not always) has the role of an adverb, some examples:
