Anthony Glenn Buzbee (born June 1, 1968) [citation needed] is an American lawyer and political figure. In 2019, Buzbee ran for mayor of Houston, Texas, [1] but lost to incumbent Sylvester Turner. He also ran for Houston City Council in 2023 but lost to incumbent Mary Nan Huffman.

Tony Buzbee has been recognized as a Texas “Super Lawyer” by Thomson Reuters in 2004 and 2008 – 2022. Buzbee has been profiled in a biography, “Tony Buzbee: Defining Moments” by Michael Lee Lanning and has appeared on the cover of The New York Times Magazine.
