Mar 25, 2021 · Was curious if anyone is experiencing NESCAC athletic recruiting in the class of 2021 or can provide their experience in prior years. Son is being looked at for both football and lacrosse at various NESCAC schools. The test optional component is confusing us. He just scored a 1310 on the SAT with no prep, which is on the lower end of the NESCAC ranges …

Jan 10, 2020 · Most NESCAC coaches do not ask admissions to do a crazy high number of pre-reads relative to slots (admissions would be unhappy)…so getting a pre-read is significant. NESCAC pre-reads start July 1, some coaches will ask for the info in the last few weeks of June…typically test scores, unofficial 6 semester transcript, resume.
Solid nursing program vs. NESCAC - College Confidential Forums
Dec 14, 2019 · My DS17 has the opportunity to either attend a school with a strong nursing program (he’s already been accepted) or attend a NESCAC school where he would likely major in biology. The nursing courses appeal more to him than general bio, but he also sees the benefit of a NESCAC level education. Any thoughts or advice on which way to go?
NESCAC vs Ivy League - College Confidential Forums
May 12, 2005 · NESCAC’s higher standing is largely carried by the strong programs that Williams, Middlebury & Amherst apparently have. Oct 27, 2024 · I’m a little late to this thread but I hope this helps. My son went through the process last year: offers from 5 NESCAC, Vassar, Occidental, Colorado, MIT, and a three D1. If your son is receiving coach’s support and has passed the pre-read process with that school, it is on my understanding that admission was good-to-go.
NESCAC Campuses Ranked? - College Confidential Forums
Jul 13, 2023 · I’m really interested in some of the NESCAC Liberal Arts Colleges and have visited some of them. I am wondering how people would rank the different campuses based on location, scenery, and overall vibes. I know this is subjective but wanted to know what other people think.

Jul 7, 2018 · As @midwestmomofboys and @gointhruaphase have commented, there is a formula to D3 recruiting in the NESCAC League, and A-B-C banding. Our S is a very top athlete (almost D1, not football) SA with in median range of SATs for said schools and A-/B+ GPA w 7 APs and Honors and just getting through pre-reads. Coaches have been terrific.
D3 Recruiting Timeline - College Confidential Forums
Oct 26, 2020 · D22 is a strong lacrosse player. Has D1 interest and is more interested in pursuing high academic D3 schools. What is the timeline? She has spoken with a number of coaches. In particular, with NESCAC or other high academic schools, is nothing close to final until the summer after junior year? Based on Naviance, she has an in-range GPA and test scores without any …
Ivy League vs. NESCAC - College Confidential Forums
Aug 8, 2017 · The NESCAC has a travel rule and limitations on games. For example, the NCAA limits the number of baseball games in D3 to 40. It is not unusual for a NESCAC school to squeak in at 35, many of which take place in Florida during spring break. Also the length of travel is limited during the week. This is why most league games are on the weekend.

Jun 26, 2023 · That being said, it would be silly not to say the quiet part out loud: that what distinguishes NESCAC today are the more than passing number of comps between it and the Ivy League: their pre-Civil War pasts; their historic architecture; the remaining sheen of their preppy legacies; and it certainly hasn’t hurt that they’ve been able to ...
