Jan 6, 2025 · The Montpelier cannot be used solely to heat the house. It merely supplements the home. With the geo running and thermostat set to 68 and the Montpelier running hot we stay at 68. If chit the geo off the temps start dropping inside the house by using the Montpelier only. We have 3 year old dry seasoned wood. Tested with a moisture meter.

Nov 28, 2009 · Friends built the addition to our home and installed our stove a little over three years ago. We clean the pipe with a chimney brush monthly from September through May. The past few days, creosote is running down the outside of the pipe that is inside the house, between the ceiling and the stove. The exterior pipe looks fine.
