Jul 28, 2018 · The Kettle Valley Rail Trail – A Great Adventure. Situated in central southern British Columbia, this converted railway to trail way traverses some of Canada’s warmest climates through spectacular mountain and valley scenery. With a maximum 2.2% grade, the trail can be cycled or hiked by most with just a little preparation.

It is important to remember that the Kettle Valley Rail Trail, while well marked in some areas, can seem a bit remote at others. It’s wise to have a general idea of your distances, times and direction before setting out on your trip. These straight forward maps will give you some of the basics.

Jul 28, 2018 · The Kettle Valley Rail Trail is one small but significant part of the world’s largest trail – the Trans Canada Trail. At over 22,000 kilometres in length it reaches 3 oceans – the Atlantic to the Pacific and north to the Arctic. It is a blend of historic trails, pathways, roadways and abandoned rail beds – such as the KVR.

All our tours are self-guided – we have picked the best of what the Kettle Valley Rail Trail has to offer and help you find your way! Take your time Self-guided tours mean you set your own pace – take your time for a swim, photographs or just taking in the fresh country air.

The ride today takes follows the Kettle and West Kettle Rivers through Rhone and on to the spectacular Taurus Canyon – recommended lunch stop and swimming hole. Once a booming mining town, Beaverdell is a place unto itself!
