Jerry Schmidt [1] (born September 19, 1962) is the strength and conditioning coach for the University of Oklahoma Sooners' football team. He was previously the strength and conditioning coach for the Texas A&M University Aggies' football team. [2]

Schmidt worked alongside current OU head coach Brent Venables, who served as Sooners' linebackers coach and as co- and defensive coordinator from 1999 through 2011.

In his three decades of association with four NCAA Division I programs, Jerry Schmidt gained the reputation as one of the most demanding, innovative, and successful strength and conditioning coaches.
