Posted in Baltimore County, Maryland between June and August of 2004, this distance sign lists major cross country destinations along Interstate 70 and its western terminus at Cove Fort, Utah. A new distance sign was installed by August 23, 2010 and affixed to the back side of the new overhead assembly over I-70 east.

Interstate 70 West through traffic should use the left lane, as this sign reads. The reason for this is that the right lane is an exit only lane immediately on the other side of the Wheeling Tunnel, as you will see.

Sign changes made west of Exit 26 lowered the distance to Fruita from 7 to 6, replaced Green River - 100 with Loma and Las Vegas - 513 with Jct I-15. Fruita is located northwest of Grand Junction along U.S. 6-50.
