Nov 20, 2021 · Long ago. Basically when other malls started doing the same, Exton just followed the trend. You have KOP 25 minutes away that is famously known for how big it is. I also remember they had some flood like a decade back that damaged an already dying mall.

Jan 6, 2022 · Yeah I was in Neshaminy right before Christmas to get a Covid booster. Granted it was a weekday afternoon, but the place was a ghosttown. This was my childhood mall growing up, but prior to this visit, I haven't bothered to go into the mall in 15 or so years, it was sad to see. The only traffic was around Boscovs, the movies, and Barnes and Noble.

Exton Square may have been struggling since before 2020, but COVID (and the state-level precautions) have absolutely finished it off. Once Macy's shutters, all that will be left is the Urgent Care and Boscovs.

This mall did something pretty smart. They converted half of it into a medical building. From inside that half it feels like a nice new hospital you'd never know it was a mall until you take a wrong turn and end up at a half dead department store.

Dec 19, 2021 · The mall mainstays, department stores, jewelry stores, clothing, food, and bookstores have all changed in various ways or been rendered if not obsolete, then at least endangered or have been forced to evolve away from the mall model. I hope that we are near the bottom of the thinning, but we may not be there yet.

Christmas time, Sports Card Shows, you name it. Always loved this mall and remember when the food court would get so full you couldn't even find a table in it. Only a matter of time until it's torn down which is absolutely terrible. This is one mall that I can't pinpoint what went wrong with it. Other than KOP keeps getting bigger, bigger and ...

Nov 18, 2021 · The only thing that mall has going for it is the Round 1 arcade; I drove out there a few times when I was in the area for PAX Unplugged. At the time, it was the only Round 1 in the mid-atlantic, but now there's one in downtown Philly (and Baltimore and Northern Virginia).

Dec 15, 2022 · Very surprising. I go to school here and have been going to stores in the immediate area in Exton for two years and honestly before I found out about Round1 I had no idea it existed. Has little to no visibility from the main road aside from the Boscovs and the roadside signage for the mall sucks. Beautiful mall.

Jun 10, 2021 · Honestly the Exton Square mall might be dead, but it is a very architecturally pleasing building. Its not an ugly mall by any measure it also has a ton of natural light as well! It would be really really cool to see the building turned into something like a community space or a library or something like an indoor park.
