Welcome to C-ID.net, the website for the Course Identification Numbering System (C-ID). C-ID is a supranumbering system being developed to ease transfer and articulation in California’s higher education institutions.
Courses - C-ID
C-ID Courses. The California Community College (CCC) courses on this list have been approved by the C-ID program and given a C-ID designation. The courses with this C-ID designation will articulate with any other CCC course with the same designation for course content credit.
Descriptors - C-ID
C-ID Descriptors. The categories below reflect different stages in the finalization of C-ID Descriptor Documents. The descriptors are offered to encourage wider articulation and to expand the lower division curricular offerings, and thereby increase the variety and ensure the rigor of our many Community College courses.

C-ID, the Course Identification Numbering System, is a faculty-driven system that was initially developed to assign identifying designations (C-ID numbers) to significant transfer courses.
Resources - C-ID
The work being done to develop course descriptors and review course outlines (CORs) for C-ID numbers is primarily done by CCC and CSU faculty, and the appointment of faculty to the discipline groups (called Faculty Discipline Review Groups or FDRGs) is done by the Academic Senates of the CCC and the CSU.
