Apr 2, 2017 · It's a little more work but you might consider a half lap miter joint and exterior wood glue. Clamp up the joint and a you won't need brad nails or screws because of the much larger glue surface. Google half lap miter for a look. Use clamping cauls to spread the force and eliminate clamp marks in the soft redwood.

Jul 27, 2012 · Ahh I see. Well, problem that I found with a nail set is that brad nails don't have enough strength for that to work properly. It might work, but the nail tends to bend and buckle since it is so thin and fairly soft. So some may indeed go deep enough, others might just push to the side, and others might compress and crumble.

Place your blank on the pivot pin, fire up the saw and rotate your work piece to cut out a perfect circle of what ever size you chose. With the dimensions of this jig I can safely and accurately cut a circle up to 15" in radius (or 30") in diameter, that is of course if I could figure out how to get a 15" piece of wood through a 14" throat.

The window in question is on the right hand side of the wall, 10" in from the corner.

Mar 26, 2017 · I went from a huge shop (3 car size) to a single (like 1700 sq to 225 sq). If I don't keep the shop tidy, its very easy to have tools in the way. For example, if I am doing some hand planing, and then need to make a rip on the TS, I need to make sure that the outfeed is clear or I risk pushing a handplane onto the floor.
