Jan 27, 2023 · Razor's Edge literally just ripped NG2/NGS2 weapons and mechanics and called it a day everything else about RE (enemy design, levels, boss design) is pretty bad. The best parts are when they start throwing NG2 content in it had good ideas (like turning Bone on Steel into a grapple-counter) but it was a still a deeply flawed game.

I've been chipping away and bouncing between these games and just enjoying the fuck out of them since starting the collection.

May 21, 2023 · Razor's Edge is probably the most impressive rework of a game I've ever seen. It went from an extremely poor entry, to the Ninja Gaiden game with the highest skill ceiling in only 6 months. Probably one of the most underrated combat systems in the genre.

Mar 21, 2022 · Razor's Edge has some fucking amazing mechanics, and I think that its combat can act as a good foundation for the next Ninja Gaiden game, if that ever happens. And seeing how Hayashi responded to the criticisms of the original 3, as well as how good Nioh 1 and 2 are, I have faith in Team Ninja.

I was a huge fan of NG1, Black, and NGII, and avoided NG3 like the plague but did get Razor's Edge because of the immense rework and improvements they added to the game.
