Dec 3, 2024 · Tuesday’s ad is for Ballantine & Co. Brewery of Newark, New Jersey for their Bock Beer, and was created in 1883. The lithographer was again H. Schile & Co. of 14-16 Division St. in New York City. Henry Jerome Schile was born in Germany, and emigrated to the U.S. in 1851, settling in Manhattan, which is where he opened his own print company.

Dec 20, 2024 · Friday’s ad is for G. Krueger Bock Beer, for the Gottfried Krueger Brewing Co. of Newark, New Jersey. The lithograph was created in 1887 by Herman Bartsch. Krueger is probably best known for being the first American brewery to put their beer in a can 36 years after this print was made, in 1933.
