Ukraine and the United States are in detailed talks on a deal involving U.S. investment in Kyiv's domestic drone production, Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko said on Friday. The deal would also lead to the U.

President Volodymyr Zelensky has named Yulia Svyrydenko as Ukraine’s new prime minister in the latest reshuffle of his cabinet.Ms Svyrydenko, 39, has been serving as first deputy prime minister and economic development and trade minister since November 2021.

Ukraine’s parliament has appointed Yulia Svyrydenko as prime minister, the first leadership change in five years. Tasked with boosting defense production and fixing the economy, she takes charge amid intensifying Russian attacks and a looming $19 billion budget shortfall.

Ukraine and the U.S. are negotiating an investment deal to expand Ukrainian drone production. This agreement, backed by President Zelenskiy and President Trump, would see Washington purchase Ukrainian drones while Kyiv procures American weapons.

Ukraine's former economy minister and the key negotiator in the mineral deal with the US, Yulia Svyrydenko, has become the new prime minister. She had also served as first deputy prime minister.
