Visa is hoping to hand your credit card to an artificial intelligence “agent” that can find and buy clothes, groceries, airplane tickets and other items on your behalf.

Visa has announced it wants to give artificial intelligence agents the keys to your wallet so they can buy things for you on their own — literally.

Visa — yes, that Visa — is wading into the world of AI agents. On Wednesday, the credit card monolith announced it would be teaming up with some of the AI industry's leading developers to connect its vast payments network to their AI systems.
