A man has died after being shot by Peel police at Toronto Pearson's Terminal 1 Thursday morning, the province's Special Investigations Unit (SIU) said.

The police said that the man had displayed a firearm. The shooting caused a partial shutdown of Canada’s busiest airport.

A 30-year-old man was shot dead by police outside Toronto’s Pearson Airport in what officials described as an isolated incident with no further threat to public safety.
