Only a week has passed since The Night Agent Season 2 premiered on the 2025 TV schedule, but it’s been known for months now that this won’t be the end of Peter Sutherland’s exploits as a member of Night Action.

The Night Agent season two saw Gabriel Basso return as the main character with Luciane Buchanan’s as Rose Larkin and new cast members including Amanda Warren, Michael Malarkey, and Brittany Snow. One notable absence was Fola Evans-Akingbola – and Hong Chau, but we’ll save that rant for later.

The story includes one minor detail from the Season 2 finale of The Night Agent. A popular series regular character from Season 1 of The Night Agent, Chelsea Arrington, played by Fola Evans-Akingbola,

Fola Evans-Akingbola, who plays Chelsea Arrington, is returning for season 3 after she was missing on screen in the most recent installment. Creator Shawn Ryan confirmed Evans-Akingbola’s return after season 2 only brought back lead Gabriel Basso and Luciane Buchanan. Most of the additional cast members didn’t appear at all.

Now, it has been confirmed that Evans-Akingbola's cameo wasn't just a one-off scene, but was intended to set up a bigger return for her character in the already announced third season.

After saving the president in season 1 of The Night Agent, he immediately set off to Thailand for his first official Night Action assignment. That assignment went south and Peter (Gabriel Basso) spent all of season 2 running around Manhattan,
