The expectation was that Adolis Garcia would be activated and play for the Texas Rangers on Saturday. The only question was the corresponding move.

The Texas Rangers have placed second baseman Marcus Semien on the 10-day injured list for just the second time in his 13-year career with a left foot contusion and activated right fielder Adolis García.

If Semien has to head to the injured list, it’d be his first trip to the IL since 2017 when he played for the Athletics.
