A Formula 1 driver has been handed a double punishment ahead of the British Grand Prix. After last weekend's dramatic Austrian Grand Prix, the 2025 F1 season continued this week at the world-famous Silverstone circuit. On Friday, Lewis Hamilton and Lando Norris were the stars of the show as they finished top of FP1 and FP2 respectively.

Could we see another British winner this year? Lewis Hamilton has an incredible record at Silverstone and won here last year for Mercedes. Lando Norris comes off the back of a victory in Austria and with the McLaren has the fastest car on the grid. Believe it or not, both of them are in contention this weekend.

Conditions will remain warm into the early evening and for FP2, which starts at 4pm local time. Temperatures will rise slightly to 25 degrees Celsius, whilst the likelihood of rain remains at zero per cent, allowing the grid to enjoy a full day of practice in dry conditions at Silverstone.
