Kelly Rowland also appeared in the horror space, starring in the epic crossover film “Freddy vs. Jason.” Starring as Kia Waterson, Rowland’s character did not make it to the end of the film, but did get an epic death sequence worthy of a proper scream queen.
Scream 7 will hit theatres in 2026, and before that, it’s best that you watch all Scream movies in the correct order.
If you’re in the mood for a movie marathon that mixes blood, suspense, and a surprising amount of snarky humor, the Scream franchise is where you should turn.
The film also kick-started a successful franchise; 2011's "Scream 4" was filmed in Metro Detroit, and "Scream 7" — which is set to feature Lansing native Lillard, in his first appearance in a "Scream" movie since the original — is due out in February 2026.
It certainly helps, too, that Scream is, well… Scream. It’s not just a classic, but by my own personal definition, the perfect scary movie.
