USA TODAY College Sports Wire on MSNHow former Wisconsin center Steven Crowl performed in Utah Jazz NBA Summer League finaleFormer Wisconsin center Steven Crowl returned to the Utah Jazz's NBA Summer League rotation on Friday. After sitting out during the team's Wednesday win over the Washington Wizards, Crowl got 14 minutes of action during Friday's 105-92 defeat at the hands of the Chicago Bulls.
The Utah Jazz have yet to take home a win within their three showings in the Las Vegas NBA Summer League at this point, but throughout those three contests, it's been nothing short of an impressive set of performances from second-year big man Kyle Filipowski.
But instead, it was Riley Minix who called game on the other end. Minix caught an inbounds pass and hit a fadeaway contested bucket from the short corner to lift the Spurs to the win — which sparked a huge celebration on the floor in Las Vegas.
On Sunday night the Jazz fielded a summer league squad that did not feature a single drafted rookie. No Ace Bailey, no Walter Clayton Jr., no John Tonje. Not even RJ Luis Jr., the undrafted rookie out of St. John’s, played for the Jazz.
The Utah Jazz may have some interest in making a certain roster addition ahead of next season, and one who has had a bit of familiarity with the club dating back to last season.
