House Speaker Mike Johnson is calling on the Department of Justice to release all available information related to Jeffrey Epstein, diverging from the Trump administration’s recent stance on keeping additional details sealed.

President Trump’s base is angry at him for allegedly selling out on the Epstein scandal, despite the fact that there is no evidence of foul play or a client list.

Trump said he had personally warned the Journal’s owner, Rupert Murdoch, and its editor in chief, Emma Tucker, that the letter was “fake,” calling the story “false, malicious, and defamatory.”
