Latonya Pottain, a northern Louisiana woman known for her appearance on "My 600-Lb. Life," died on May 17 at age 40, a local coroner confirmed.

Pottain died on Saturday at Christus Highland Medical Center in Shreveport, Louisiana, per the Natchitoches Parish Coroner's Office report. Her preliminary cause of death was listed as chronic congestive heart failure, and her manner of death was natural, according to the Natchitoches Parish Coroner's Office, NBC reported.

Lb. Life star Latonya Pottain died suddenly in May 2025 at just 40 years old. She appeared on season 11 of the TLC weight loss series, where she openly shared her struggles with mental health and overeating.
