For the first time in their franchise history, the Baltimore Ravens have selected a placekicker in the NFL Draft. That pick was Tyler Loop, out of Arizona, in the 6th round (No. 186 overall). However, this decision could be more than just your average, run-of-the-mill day three draft pick.

The Ravens signaled that they were open to taking a kicker ahead of the draft, so the decision to select Tyler Loop in the sixth round wasn't a surprising one.

The Baltimore Ravens didn't have to say it. But it is their clear belief that they had to do it. Recently, All-Pro kicker Justin Tucker was accused of inappropriate sexual behavior during a collection of massage sessions. In fairness, Tucker has denied the charges.
