An Amber Alert was issued Thursday, April 24, for a missing 15-year-old girl from Tarrant County. Ivanna Gonzalez was last seen April 18 in North Richland Hills, according to the alert. Ivanna is Hispanic girl, about 4-foot-11, weighing around 115 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.

The AMBER Alert was born in 1996 when local media teamed up with local police to develop an early warning system to find abducted children following the abduction and brutal murder of 9-year-old Amber Hagerman, of Arlington. An AMBER Alert issued Thursday afternoon for a 15-year-old girl from North Richland Hills has been canceled.
