A Texas House committee just unanimously passed a bill that would prevent a total ban on consumable hemp products.

Mass-text messaging campaigns would have to disclose who paid for them, and direct campaign expenditures would be required to name the candidate or officeholder it spent money to support or oppose, according to the legislation filed by former House Speaker Dade Phelan, R-Beaumont.
