Multiple parts of central Texas, including Kerr County, were shocked by flash floods Friday when the Guadalupe River rose rapidly.

Flash floods swept through Texas over the Fourth of July weekend, leaving at least 80 people dead. Dozens remain missing.

Camp Mystic said on its website that it “is grieving the loss of 27 campers and counselors” in the historic flooding in along the Guadalupe River in Kerr County. The statement did not say all those missing from the camp had been found,
