New York City Mayor Eric Adams is unveiling his budget for 2026. The mayor released a copy of his budget proposal early Thursday morning, and he is scheduled to announce the plan at noon from Bayside High School in Queens.

Mayor Eric Adams is set to unveil his $115 billion re-election year fiscal plan Thursday — touting the proposal, which is flush with new spending, as the “best budget ever.” Hizzoner’s 2026 Executive Budget will set aside nearly $200 million for education programs previously funded by federal COVID-19-era stimulus cash.

The mayor will commit to building thousands of congregate units where tenants can access services including mental health care.
