ABC's Linsey Davis spoke with Episcopal Bishop Sean Rowe about his church ending its relationship with the government after President Donald Trump's administration granted 59 white South African Afrikaners refugee status.

The Episcopal Church refused to help the federal government resettle white South Africans who were granted refugee status by the Trump administration, according to a letter shared by the denomination on Monday.

In light of our church’s steadfast commitment to racial justice and reconciliation and our historic ties with the Anglican Church of Southern Africa, we are not able to take this step,' the presiding bishop of the Episcopal Church said in a letter.
