Canada found itself in a precarious position on Monday morning after Mexico cut a deal with President Trump to postpone tariffs in exchange for a major deployment of forces along the border between the two countries.

The White House said on Monday it has noticed that Mexico is "serious" about President Donald Trump's executive order on tariffs, but Canada has "misunderstood" it to be a trade war between the neighboring countries.

The CEO of Canada’s second-largest publicly traded company stated that Canadians support the actions President Trump is calling for and criticized outgoing Prime Minister Justin Trudeau for not averting the trade war, according to a Sunday report.
