Troops in the newly designated area in Texas will be able to temporarily detain migrants as the Trump administration militarizes the boundary with Mexico.

As of Monday, at least 28 migrants were charged with violating security regulations as well as entering the U.S. illegally, The Washington Post and Reuters reported.
