A woman was waiting for the bus when she was hit by a car and killed on Saturday, according to a spokesperson with the Philadelphia Police Department. Police said that a woman in her mid-60s was standing on the sidewalk at the bus stop at the intersection of 7th and Ritner streets in South Philadelphia just after 7 p.

A pickup truck jumped the sidewalk and struck and killed a woman in South Philadelphia on Saturday. It happened near the victim's home at 7th and Ritner around 7 p.m. The driver is facing DUI charges.

According to authorities, the woman was at a bus stop at the intersection when a driver, identified only as a 58-year-old man, in a Ford F-150 put the truck in reverse and hit the woman on the sidewalk.
