A local Buddhist group was granted a small win in its attempt to halt an Everglades’ restoration project the group claims would infringe on the religious beliefs of its members.

A U.S.-based rescue company is taking the state of Florida to court, claiming the state owes more than $7.5 million for a mission carried out in Haiti during a period of political turmoil last year.
