WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – Wichita Police Department’s K-9 Unit is expanding. On Monday, the City of Wichita announced that WPD has gained three new K-9s and handlers.

A Lake County, Illinois K-9 officer will be honored for his ultimate sacrifice during National Police Week in May.

The meeting will be on April 10, from 6 to 10 p.m., at Strangers Rest Missionary Baptist Church, 2521 N. Grove.
