The UConn men’s basketball team was doomed by its poor first half as it was eliminated by Creighton in the Big East semifinal, but the Huskies are optimistic for March Madness.

The UConn defense was almost non existent in the first half as the 2nd Seeded Blue Jays scorched the Huskies with 75% shooting.

Things got a bit chippy at the end of Friday night's Big East tournament semifinal after Creighton's Jamiya Neal slammed a dunk and hung onto the rim in the final seconds of the game. The Bluejays were already beating the UConn Huskies 69–62 when the guard went up,
