Jimmer Fredette named USA Basketball 3x3 men’s national team managing director

Jimmer Fredette has been named the first USA Basketball 3x3 men’s national team managing director after announcing his retirement from competition last week. He will be responsible for identifying players and coaches for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics, like Grant Hill has done for the men’s 5x5 team.

Former college basketball star Jimmer Fredette has officially called it a career. Fredette, who most recently played for the Team USA 3x3 team at the Paris Olympics last summer, announced on Instagram that he is retiring from basketball at the age of 36.
