It’s not a bird or a plane — it’s the latest “Superman” movie soaring towards the top of the box office. Warner Bros. Pictures’ “Superman” grossed an estimated $56.5 million domestically on Friday, on top of $22.
"Superman" will hover over the box office again as "Smurfs" and "I Know What You Did Last Summer" open in theaters.
While Superman is already a critical success, its second-week box office will determine if the movie can turn a profit for the DCU.
