St Andrews Links Trust (SALT) is in advanced discussions to take over a long-term lease of the Duke’s golf course which is managed by the Old Course Hotel Golf Resort & Spa, owned by US-based Kohler.

As per the announcement by the R&A, The Open 2027 will be played at St Andrews from July 15-18, 2027. The tournament was last held at this venue in 2022, and was won by Cameron Smith.
