Motown legend Smokey Robinson this week filed a $500-million countersuit against his sexual assault accusers. Their legal team says 'it is a baseless and vindictive legal maneuver.'

The famed Motown singer accuses the four women of defamation, slander, intentional infliction of emotional distress, financial elder abuse and invasion of privacy in his cross-complaint.

The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office confirmed the decade-old investigation in a statement on Friday.
