Shohei Ohtani's family has officially added a new member. The Los Angeles Dodgers two-way star was put on paternity leave ahead of Friday's matchup against the Texas Rangers. He revealed on Instagram Saturday morning that he and his wife, Mamiko, had welcomed their baby daughter to the world.

Shohei Ohtani’s “Dad Strength” is finally beginning to kick in as the Los Angeles Dodgers’ slugger hit his first home run since the birth of his daughter to jump-start a 15-2 victory over the Miami Marlins on Tuesday night.

One of the biggest stars in the Dodgers’ loaded lineup, Shohei Ohtani, was once again in the spotlight. The two-way sensation launched a third-inning home run off Atlanta’s Spencer Schwellenbach to break a 1–1 tie. It was Ohtani’s eighth home run of the season.
