The Rochester community celebrated the life of Pope Francis at the Co-Cathedral St. John Evangelist on Thursday.

A local service in Rochester honored the late Pope Francis. Bishop Robert Barron of the Diocese of Winona-Rochester gathered worshippers to send tributes to the former Pope.

Barron noted “that’s Francis” as he recalled several of the pope’s personal styles such as his humor, his “personal simplicity” and his application of the Bible’s teachings.

The Co-Cathedral of St. John held a mass for members of the Rochester community to come together regardless of faith to remember Pope Francis on Thursday, April 24.
