Texas Longhorns quarterback Quinn Ewers seemingly set aside NFL draft planning to visit his girlfriend Mady Barnes and her family in Oklahoma.

A seasoned college quarterback with intriguing upside is quietly emerging as a compelling fit for a few select NFL teams.

Ewers and his parents proved to be prescient. At the time Quinn left Southlake, the Texas Legislature was about to enact Senate Bill 1385, barring high school athletes from making NIL money.

Born a little more than a month before the Cowboys drafted Jason Witten, Quinn Ewers is a Texas native who went to Carroll Senior High School in Southlake, about 20 miles north of AT&T Stadium.
