But it’s become clear there is a deeper damage Mr. Trump may do to workers: We’re seeing a troubling revival in the old neoliberal Washington-Wall Street consensus on trade.

The old trade war that brought foreign carmakers to the U.S. ... And any new plant or expansion is going to come with a lot more robots and a lot fewer human workers than it would have 40 years ago.
