Nottingham Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis has relinquished his position as a person with significant control of the Premier League club as it closes in on Champions League qualification.

Nottingham Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis has reportedly put a temporary halt on his involvement at the club in order to avoid falling foul of UEFA's multi-club ownership rules. The Greek businessman also holds a majority stake in Olympiacos, who have already secured the league title for the current season.

Evangelos Marinakis has taken a step back from his ownership duties at Nottingham Forest as the club gear up for Champions League qualification.
