McLaren driver Lando Norris won the Formula 1 sprint race Saturday in Miami after a rain-soaked contest produced crashes and ended under the "safety car" as marshals collected debris on the track.

The Miami Sprint Race both started and ended behind a safety car with absolute chaos in between. McLaren's Oscar Piastri took the lead on the start, but it was his teammate Lando Norris who took the win Saturday afternoon for his second victory at the Miami circuit, coming behind a safety car.

Inevitably, the drivers’ competitive instincts came out. George Russell cut an early corner. McLaren and Alpine had a coming-together at one point. Max Verstappen complained his car was lacking top-end speed. Generally a lot of fun, although they might need to sweep the track now. I fear quite a few Lego bricks are still out there.
