A colonel with the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office will run the West Palm Beach Police Department until the city chooses a new police chief.

Mayor Keith James talked about the challenges the city is facing as well as the accomplishments that have been made over the last year.

West Palm Beach Mayor Keith James fell outside his residence in late June and was briefly hospitalized, the mayor's office said Tuesday.
