Max Scherzer has yet to return to the Toronto Blue Jays’ starting rotation. He was placed on the 15-day IL with a right thumb injury. The pitcher is ramping up by starting to throw bullpen sessions.
Scherzer (thumb) threw a bullpen session Tuesday and is in line to face live batters Wednesday, Ben Nicholson-Smith of Sportsnet.ca reports.
