A Massachusetts man visiting the US Capitol was found with a firearm after passing security checks and completing a tour. Despite initial warning and checks, Capitol Police identified the weapon only after the tour.

A Massachusetts man who toured the U.S. Capitol on Tuesday was later found to be carrying a handgun, police officials said. The U.S. Secret Service and Washington, D.C., Metropolitan Police Department originally spoke to the man in a hotel on Tuesday morning.
