Gibson and Michael J. Fox Launch a Campaign to Find the Marty McFly Guitar From “Back to the Future”
The guitar—a Cherry Red Gibson ES-345—made its iconic appearance in the film’s “Enchantment Under the Sea” high school dance scene in 1985, during which Fox played Chuck Berry’s classic “Johnny B. Goode.” According to the poster, when the crew began making the sequel to the film, they tried to find it to no avail.
