While some Arkansas cities and towns have seen some of the biggest population drops in the country, others have grown more than anywhere else in the nation, according to new U.S. Census Bureau data.
On Thursday, roughly 50 Arkansas cities and towns had their designations changed from "urban" to "rural" areas, the result of a criteria revision by the U.S. Census Bureau for the 2020 census.
The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette reports the figures released Thursday indicates that populations in 73 Arkansas cities and towns have declined at least 10% since 2010.
